Blueberries make a lovely landscaping bush, with attractive green foliage and red fall color and are surprisingly long-lived (up to 40-60 years!) They are associated with many health benefits For success with blueberries, care is more important than climate. You will receive a three to four year old plant that has produced fruit.We only sell plants we test for yields so you do not need to worry about shabby fruit.Unless it meets our high standards we do not sell it..We prune them right before shipment to insure that the roots take to their new home forcing the plant to branch further.The plants when shipped will be approximately 2-3 feet tall and ready.all you have to do is plant them.Hardiness: will grow anywhere where the soil is right Refer to our recommendation.Please scroll bellow and read our care instructions and many benefits of this fruit. We Will combine Shipping!!Planting Remove plant from packaging and try not to disturb the roots, we will add a rotting enhancer for you to promote new roots and insure a high yield next year. Place plant in the soil even though blueberries are shallow rooted they hole should be dig at least 5 inches deep. Mulch 2 -4 inches. Water in well.Spacing Blueberry plants should be planted about 2-1/2 feet apart to create a solid hedgerow. You can also space them as far 6 feet apart to grow as individual. Pruning and PinchingNone of these steps are necessary because we will do them when shipment is being prepared your plant will be no fuss and ready for the garden.They have pruned and leaves have been removed to get them established quickly in the new garden. Pruning is required every year to avoid disease. Pruning also helps to avoid Over-fruiting which can cause poor growth and/or lower fruit production. Prune out lower laterals around the base for the plant and pinch off the ;Leaves that shows browning.. Prune all discolored short growth and dead twigs. Remove all canes that have fruited and pinch off leaves to promote new growth. Fertilizing Avoid using any type of manure. Blueberries thrive on acid fertilizers such as Azalea formulations. New plants require a small ring of granular around the base such as 12.4.8 use 1 ounce. (See TrueBlue Blueberry Fertilizer). Always water well after fertilizing.
