The Yucca plant is commonly refered to as a cactus. It is NOT.. The Yucca is a member of the Lily family. Has many long slender pointed leaves at the base which do resemble the cactuses. Has a long stem in the middle which produces numerus white flowers.. Can be grown in pots or outsie as far north as Lake Michigan. The leaves are very fiberus and are used in basket weaving.
