Cylindropuntia versicolor / Staghorn Cholla Thanks for clicking on our listing! In addion to working as Trading Assistants, we are small-scale growers who just got the bright idea to begin selling some of our stock here on eBay. Welcome! This listing is for 3 stem sections (each approximately 6"in length) of Cylindropuntia versicolor. "Staghorn Cholla" is an appropriate name for this Arizona native cactus, as the stems grow to give the appearance of an antler rack. Spines will be present on all of the stems, which are green to reddish in pigmentation depending on the season. Mature size of the cholla will be large, at 5' to 6' tall and 6' to 8' wide, so plan for some space when using this one in the landscape. A very good practical application for this cactus would be as a barrier / security planting. Very few bad guys or mischievious kids would try to traverse this one. Orange to red flowers on the tips of the stems in the spring produce reddish colored fleshy fruit in the late summer to early fall. Full sun is preferable for "Staghorn Cholla" and cold hardiness is into the low teens. Planting instructions will be included with your purchase! Need a different quantity? Just ask!
